FAQ for problems with the design2treat dongle

If problems with the USB dongle occur, error information may be displayed when starting design2treat.
Here you will find a list of the most common error messages with indications of the causes and how to correct the errors.
if the error message displayed on your computer does not appear in the list, please create a screenshot of the error message and send it to us (by telephone consultation) together with the diagnostic report.

Dongle Error Messages

Explanation and solution
HASP key not found (H0007)
There is an error in the communication between the USB dongle and the dongle driver.
The problem can have various causes:

- The dongle driver is too old - please update the dongle driver -
The dongle driver (version 7.55 from 05/2017) can be found on the design2treat CD, or download the current dongle driver from the manufacturer's website and install it:

https://sentinelcustomer.gemalto.com/sentineldownloads

- The USB dongle is not recognized correctly under Windows -
Call the Windows Device Manager and check if all entries for the USB dongle are displayed without errors.

If one of the "Sentinel" entries in the "USB Controller" section is marked with a yellow warning and exclamation mark on your computer, the USB dongle is not recognized correctly.
On the design2treat CD you will find the directory "dongle diagnostics" in the file Show firmware of USB dongle and create diagnostic report for further help.
No Matching Feature found (H0050)
The firmware of your USB dongle is too old. Perform a firmware update, at least to version 3.25.

Unable to access Sentinel Run-time Environment (H0033)
Install the latest driver for the USB dongle.
Try your anti-virus program. If the error no longer occurs, close the program
C:\Windows\System32\hasplms.exe
in your virus scanner from the check / monitoring.
Terminal Services detected (H0027)
The usage of design2treat with a single-place dongle is not possible via a Windows Remotedesktopkt connection (RDP).
This requires a network dongle.
License information is (partial) unreadable
If design2treat is used in the single-user version design2treat6_EP.exe together with a locally inserted network dongle, the license information ("Licensed for ...") is partially unreadable. Instead, special characters are displayed.

It is a cosmetic problem.
Despite the incorrect display of the license information, design2treat works as usual.
Single-user dongle missing or not detected: Program termination
The error has so far occurred in the following constellations:

1.You start the design2treat6 single-user version design2treat6_EP.exe AND
- the current dongle driver is installed on your computer AND
- Your computer is connected to a network AND

- There is a design2treat-NET dongle on the network

Solution:
If you purchased a single-user license, connect the design2treat dongle to your computer and restart the design2treat6 single-user version design2treat6_EP.exe OR:
If you purchased a network license, start the design2treat6 network version design2treat6_NET.exe 2. You start the design2treat6 single-user version design2treat6_EP.exe AND
- the current dongle driver is installed on your computer AND
- a design2treat dongle is connected to your computer AND
- Your computer is connected to a network AND

- a design2treat NET dongle is available on the network AND
- You are using the computer with a remoted desktop connection (RDP)

Solution:
The use of design2treat with a single-place dongle is not possible via an RDP connection. This requires a network dongle.
Runtime-Error 0 at 000AE9AD
The problem occurs when a USB dongle (network dongle or single-user dongle) is plugged in locally and design2treat6_NET.exe is started on this computer.

1. If you have purchased a network license:
A) Start the included design2treat file design2treat6_EP.exe
If the design2treat6_EP.exe file is used with a locally inserted network dongle, the license information is displayed incorrectly when the program is started. This problem is known, but only cosmetic
Design2treat still works as usual.

or
b) Install the Sentinel License Manager on the computer where design2treat is to be started and where the network dongle is plugged in locally
You can find the license manager on the design2treat CD (network version).

2. If you purchased a single-user license:
Start the design2treat file associated with this license design2treat6_EP.exe.
